Atlanta has a long-standing tradition of nicknaming the locations of Kroger grocery stores. There’s a Disco Kroger, a Kosher Kroger, and most infamously, the Murder Kroger. Murder Kroger, located on Ponce de Leon Ave near what is now Ponce City Market, earned its name not only from a number of deaths that have occurred there, but also from its general sketchiness and the terrifying experience that was shopping there.
